I have a squirrel dieing outside my house but I don't know what to do with it. We left it some nuts and water

Do animal shelters or vetrinarians take in dieing squirrels.I have a squirrel dieing outside my house but I don't know what to do with it. We left it some nuts and water
if its dyeing then what is the cause ??you would be better to put the poor thing to sleep rather than it suffer a slow painfull death,,,good luckI have a squirrel dieing outside my house but I don't know what to do with it. We left it some nuts and water
sometimes squirrels die from disease so be careful not to touch it. you can make a shelter for it and provide food/water. if you call a local vet or animal control they can tell you what to do also. they will probably just put it down if you take it in.
get some ether based carb cleaner, put a plastic bag over it%26amp; spray in the bag,,,,,,,it'll do the job, painless fer the varnint,,,,,life is temporary ,if yer a kid, have daddy do this, dont mess with chemical stuff yerself
don't do anything. it might not feel great but you have to let nature take its course. just let it die. it's not your job to take care of all of the animals in the world.
Maybe the time for it has come.Or maybe it got injured or ill which needs shelter i guess just try to bring it to a vet and see whats wrong
how do you know it is dieing?? perhaps,, you should put him in the woods,, or up in a tree..
You should take it to a vetrinarians, because they accept all animals. If you don't want to pay for the squirrel's treatment, and don't want it as a pet, take it to an animal shelter; they'll treat it then release it into the wild.
Do not touch the animal. Squirrels can carry diseases.

Contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You should be able to find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.鈥?/a>

These people have the special training and the resources to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals.
Call a wildlife rescue organization. The people there are specially trained and can advise you over the phone. But it would be best to take it to a vet. If he's dying, you don't want him to suffer for a long time. But if there's a chance he can live, it would be better to get him care than to leave him permanently crippled.

I once found a squirrel that someone's dog had attacked. I put him in a cardboard box and took him to the vet. The vet said, ';It's good you found him. He has been suffering this way for three days!'; (The vet could tell by the dehydration plus the injuries.) I was going to have him treat the squirrel but the vet said no, there were too many internal injuries and he would only die anyway. So we opted to relieve him of his suffering. I then took him home and gave him a decent burial.

Help the poor squirrel. You would want someone to help you if you needed it.
Generally not. There are rehabbers that will take in animals, however, if it's dying, it may have been exposed to something that could affect any living squirrels in the environment so they might not take it in. Check your fish and wildlife office for possible numbers of rehabbers in your area. Generally they're species specific so you'll need someone that takes in squirrels.
you should call animal control...you dont know if the animal has a disease or not...and you could get it...its best to allow the animal control to do what is best for ALL%26gt;.

let them come out and get it themselves...dont' go picking it up it could also bite you and then your looking at rabbie shots...ouch!
Animals dieing in nature is part of nature. You can move it to a safer spot (away from animals) and let it die in peace (wear gloves so it cant bite you) or call you local vet and see if they take in squirrels. Also, how did it get hurt? If it is starving then the nuts and water is a good idea.. If it fell from a tree, then taking it to the vet is a good idea, but if it is just dieing from sickness or from age, let it be or move it. Hope this helps..
