Easy---Just step out the door and act like a nut.
If it is in the attic, get a strobe light. It drives them nuts. Leave it on for a couple of days, then unplug it.
i got the answer of all answers here for your problem. leave a trail of nuts to the front door and leave it open or you can take the easy way and call pest control. good luck
Sprinkle some moth balls around the area and the squirrel will leave. Had the same problem in my attic and moth balls did the trick.
Use a rat trap.
If it can see daylight and an open doorway (without seeing or hearing people/pets), it will want out. Have furniture moved farthest from squirrel's path and the open door.





City hall (through Animal Control) will have a live animal trap but usually asks for a deposit that you receive back after having the trap returned.





Animal Control (where I live) will not capture a squirrel in your home unless it displays signs of rabies or attacking people. They will pick it up for you AFTER YOU trapped it in a cage. We chased it out of the house. We did trap deposit for ferel cat %26amp; kittens outside.
You can just go near it and leave the door open and it will run away.
If it is in the attic -- good luck. That little sucker won't want to leave.


I would call a professional because you need to capture it and get it out. (obviously for health reasons because they carry fleas, mites, they will poop everywhere, they could injure your pets/family members and they will rip out your insulation)

even though I am totally agains animal cruelty, but if its keeping you up from sleep or is eating your house alive I think its worth it
