How far do I need to take a squirrel from my house?

How many miles do I need to take squirrels? I have like 30 living in my yard and I am trapping them left and right. I think they might be coming back. I am currently taking them 2 miles into the woods next to my house. If the weather is warm, what are their chances of living where I drop them if there is oak trees and water? How far do I need to take a squirrel from my house?
Hey Amigo! Man, I don't want to burst your bubble, here, but you are Napoleon and THEY are your Waterloo! You already got 30 of these little buggers there, and you think you're going to eliminate them in traps one by one?

You know, spring is right around the corner. In the warmer states, they're already getting frisky. They are reproducing. With litters of what, 2 to 4 offspring? Or 6? You'd be better off learning to live with the little varmints. As long as there's habitat, they'll find and populate it.

Why are you trying to get rid of them? They getting into bird feeders or fruit trees or something? Anyway, I don't think your one-man band trapping operation is gonna get it. Why not make peacewith 'em? Get some cobs of corn and feed them? They can be pretty cool and a lot of fun to watch.

Good luck, Davey Crockett. :o)How far do I need to take a squirrel from my house?
Two miles should be enough and yes don't worry about them surviving elsewhere. Take a can of yellow paint and spray their tails with it and then you will know if they are coming back. You could also spray any color paint. It won;t hurt them. If they return then try dropping them off in another State.
With the price of groceries going up every day. I would take it just far enough to make it into a skillet. Smothered Squirrel is a wonderful meal. I come from a rural family and squirels and rabbits has always found a place at the dinner table.
